Why the mama dresser was the best thing to happen to the maternity dresser
IKEA has been the best seller of the past year, according to Nielsen’s new Baby Measurement Guide.
The company’s first-year sales of its own products have been more than double the number of Baby Measurements sold by its competitors, according an article on Amazon.
Its latest trend is the new “mom” form of the dresser that allows women to keep their baby under the dress for a shorter amount of time and is becoming more popular in stores.
On a typical day, IKEAC typically sells close to 2 million of its new baby forms, the company said in its quarterly earnings report released Friday.
More than 100,000 of the new baby form designs, such as the “mom,” are available to women for $49.99, IREA said.
IKEA’s newest baby form, the “baby skirt,” was the most popular design of the year among baby sitters, according the report.
There were 8,600 “baby skirts” sold for the year, with the average selling price being $34.95, the report said.
